Despite the buzz around Michigan freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood, the Wolverines haven’t named their QB1 yet. During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Showon Thursday, ESPN’s Pete Thamel pulled back the curtain on Underwood’s status in Michigan’s quarterback room.

Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore will announce the starting quarterback on August 25th. While true freshman Bryce Underwood is the presumptive starter, Moore wants to see more consistency and leadership. The competition includes Underwood, Jadyn Davis, and Jake Garcia, while Mikey Keene is still recovering from injury.
