Denver head coach Sean Payton is adding former college assistant Brian Niedermeyer to the defensive side of the ball in a quality control-type role, sources confirmed to The Post on Wednesday afternoon.

The Denver Broncos’ coaching staff for the 2025 season includes a former Alabama assistant who comes to the NFL as the head coach of Tuscaloosa County High School. Among the eight new members announced by the Broncos for coach Sean Payton’s staff on Thursday was Brian Niedermeyer, who has joined Denver as a defensive quality-control coach.

Niedermeyer spent time on staffs at Georgia and Alabama and coached the tight ends at Tennessee before being fired with cause.

Brian Niedermeyer coached in the SEC for 3 different schools from 2015-2020, and he will now be on the staff for the Denver Broncos.
