The Saints have ruled out quarterback Derek Carr (hand), running back Alvin Kamara (groin) and center Erik McCoy (elbow) for Sunday's game against the Raiders.

The New Orleans Saints will be without running back Alvin Kamara and quarterback Derek Carr once again when they host the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.

METAIRIE, La. (AP) — Alvin Kamara’s groin injury is “a little bit more significant” than the Saints initially thought, but it remains unclear how many of New Orleans’ final three games he’ll miss, coach Darren Rizzi said Thursday.

The team ruled out quarterback Derek Carr (hand/concussion) and running back Alvin Kamara (groin) after the two didn’t practice this week with injuries. Also, wide receiver Chris Olave won’t make his return from a concussion, despite being a limited participant for three straight days. With Carr out, Spencer Rattler will start at quarterback.

Darren Rizzi told reporters the New Orleans Saints would take a committee approach to replacing Alvin Kamara. Rizzi laid out the plan was to use Kendre Miller, Jordan Mims and Jamaal Williams in the backfield.

New Orleans Saints interim head coach Darren Rizzi said Tuesday he is hopeful that veteran quarterback Derek Carr can return to action against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday at the Superdome.
