Rey Fenix is excited to land in WWE following his release from All Elite Wrestling in early March and an update on WWE's plans for the former AEW International Champion has emerged.

Ever since he posted a few tweets on X (fka Twitter) that showed his discontent with AEW, Rey Fenix has been believed to be WWE-bound.

WWE aired a mysterious teaser on Friday's episode of SmackDown shot over in Barcelona, Spain. It was brief (around six seconds in total!), but it showed an unnamed luchador perched atop the corner turnbuckles overlooking the ring. Then, a flash of lightning happened and the scene vanished as quickly as it had started.

There are reports that the high-flying duo frixion and penta are The Lucha Brothers and are planning to attack WWE's tag team division. This is very much expected and will be a much-welcomed break to the legacy of lucha libre in the US.
