Over a year after a wildly successful launch on PS5 and PC, the PlayStation-published third-person shooter is making its way to Xbox.

The news of Helldivers 2 's Xbox launch is even more surprising considering it happens the same day Microsoft releases Gears of War: Reloaded on PlayStation 5, the first time the once Xbox-exclusive series debuts on PlayStation. Meanwhile, Xbox's The Outer Worlds 2 arrives on PlayStation in October.

Arrowhead Game Studios’ Helldivers 2 will make the jump to the Xbox Series X and S consoles on August 26th, costing $39.99. This is the first PlayStation-published title to launch on Xbox. The title will ship with cross-play between all platforms.
