An ice threat with Winter Storm Cora remains into tonight before lighter snow moves into the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. Here is the timing for what is left.

Winter Storm Cora is sweeping through the Southeast and Ohio Valley, delivering a mess of snow and some ice from Tennessee to the Carolinas and Virginia, including Charlotte and Raleigh. The wintry mess is snarling travel and in some cases icing could be heavy enough to cause power outages and tree damage.

The second major winter storm of 2025 continues to brew and now threatens to drop snow and ice along a 1,500-mile corridor of the southern U.S.
