Parts of the Midwest and Northeast are experiencing poor air quality Monday as smoke from Canadian wildfires drifts into the U.S. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) said Monday in a social media post that “#Smoke from Canadian #wildfires is continuing to bring #AirQuality Alerts to parts of the Upper Midwest and Northeast today.

Smoke from Canadian wildfires is causing air quality concerns for millions of Americans in the Midwest and Northeast.

Most of the air quality alerts pertain to "sensitive groups," including people with heart or lung disease and asthma. However, air quality in parts of northern Minnesota, Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan is expected to be "unhealthy" for all individuals.
