Manchester United are on the verge of securing a deal to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, according to reports. Newcastle submitted their opening bid for Sesko over the weekend but their offer of €75m (£65.5m), plus an additional €5m (£4.3m) in bonuses, was turned down by RB Leipzig.

RB Leipzig have accepted a £73.8million bid from Newcastle but Benjamin Sesko prefers to join Manchester United, who are now the favourites to sign him from the Bundesliga club

Sesko seems likely to leave RB Leipzig this summer and has been linked to both Newcastle United and Manchester United
