The Juan Soto effect on the New York Mets is real. Soto, who signed a record-setting 15-year, $765 million deal this offseason, has the chance to make New York's lineup one of the best in all of baseball.

As it turns out, Soto didn't ghost Judge and the Yankees after all. In fact, the two remain friends: Just a day after Soto homered in his first spring training game as a Met, he got a FaceTime call from Judge to catch up and see how things were going with his new team.

Soto homered off of Houston Astros pitcher Colton Gordon during the bottom of the first inning, giving him the first home run of his time with the Mets. “Get used to it,” the team account shared on social media after Soto homered.
