Florida State football took a big hit in its recruiting class of 2026 as five-star quarterback Brady Smigiel decommitted on Sunday evening. This was first reported by On3 Sports. Smigiel, a California native, pledged to the Seminoles since last summer after making multiple trips to the campus.

While the Seminoles were very active on early signing day, national signing day is likely to be a quieter affair in comparison. FSU is in for 4-star offensive tackle Chastan Brown and have already earned commitments from Antonio Cromartie Jr. and Chavez Thomas in January.
