A barge full of 4th of July fireworks floating just offshore at Lake Tahoe's Incline Beach sank Friday afternoon.

The 4th of July pyrotechnics show in Incline Village, Nevada, was cancelled after a barge that was supposed to carry fireworks partially sank earlier that day off the shore of Lake Tahoe. A large storm blew into the area on Thursday night,

Two popular Lake Tahoe beaches were closed Friday following a fireworks barge accident. According to a news release from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, Ski Beach and Incline Beach were closed Friday “until further notice.”
