NFL Draft kicks off tomorrow night, bringing a new cohort of rookies into the league. This year’s Draft also closes the book on two major - and interconnected - Miami Dolphins trades made several years ago.

Miami's top needs were at cornerback and safety heading into the draft. It went defensive tackle in Round 1 instead, which means it should fill a hole here. Watts is a ball hawking safety who had 13 interceptions over the past two seasons.

Dolphins general manager Chris Grier and coach Mike McDaniel have 10 picks to work with and may also look to select a tight end, safety quarterback and defensive end. Miami has the 13th pick in the next NFL Draft. In that draft slot in 2016 and 2019, Miami hit on offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil and defensive tackle Christian Wilkins.
