Sure, the Los Angeles Chargers looked dominant in their 34-7 victory over the Detroit Lions in the Hall of Fame Game last Thursday, but it’s hard to get too excited about a preseason game when your starting quarterback isn’t even suited up.

The Chargers offense got a boost over the offseason — especially in the draft — and Justin Herbert has seen the benefits of it so far through camp. The Bolts franchise quarterback has been letting it loose to rookie receivers such as Tre’ Harris and KeAndre-Lambert-Smith as he continues to gain a connection with them in practice.

With Ladd McConkey sitting out, Harris was quarterback Herbert's go-to target on multiple third-down snaps for the starting offense.
