Leaders in one Southern California city fed up with the state’s immigration policies have voted to become a “non-sanctuary” city and ignore the state’s sanctuary laws.

On Tuesday, the city council unanimously voted for Huntington Beach Mayor Pat Burns' proposal to designate the city a "non-sanctuary" jurisdiction.

Huntington Beach, which declared itself a “non-sanctuary” city, is required to use every resource to combat crime and protect its citizens, including coordinating with federal law
