The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office filed criminal charges Tuesday against the ex-boyfriend of a 17-year-old girl who was fatally stabbed last week in Azusa.

A 17-year-old Azusa High School cheerleader was stabbed to death on Friday evening, and family members say they warned her about the suspect — her ex-boyfriend.

A 17-year-old girl was stabbed to death in Azusa by her ex-boyfriend just days before Christmas, according to her family. The Azusa Police Department responded around 10 p.m. Friday to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon on North Soldano Avenue, according to a police news release.
