Warm conditions followed by cooler and windier weather is in store for San Diego County next week, forecasters said Sunday.

Coastal San Diego will see light winds this week, with a mix of partly cloudy and sunny conditions by mid-week.

A slight cooldown is expected to begin early this week as westerly winds increase over the mountains and deserts, bringing a shift in conditions to San Diego County, the National Weather Service said.

Warmer conditions could turn chilly and rainy by the end of the week for San Diego County, forecasters said. The week was expected to begin with a warm-up but things may shift later in the week and showers were possible by the weekend,
