The Chicago Cubs and Houston Astros have agreed on a trade that will send two-time All-Star reliever Ryan Pressly and cash to Chicago, according to ESPN. Pressly has agreed to waive his no-trade clause as part of the arrangement and the Astros will reportedly send money to the Cubs to help cover his salary.

Pressly will waive his no-trade clause to facilitate the move, and Houston will send money to help cover his $14 million salary, the sources said.

The trade will send Pressly and $5.5 million in cash to the Cubs in exchange for right-handed pitcher Juan Bello, according to Bob Nightengale of USA Today.

A Ryan Pressly trade is looking more imminent as the Houston Astros reportedly have a tentative deal in place with the Chicago Cubs.  The hold up now revolves around Pressly’s full no-trade rights.  There also is competition from another mid-west team.
