Former Texas Longhorn Jordan Spieth took to X to announce his withdrawal from the Travelers Championship after suffering a neck and upper back injury.

With The Open Championship at Royal Portrush in a month, Spieth will certainly attempt to be back healthy for the year's final major as he continues to make his case for Keegan Bradley to put him on the U.S. Ryder Cup team at Bethpage Black this fall.

If Jordan Spieth is forced to withdraw from a PGA Tour event, there has to be a pretty significant reason. Since turning pro in 2012, Spieth, a three-time major championship winner, had never withdrawn from a tournament.
