Elizabeth Gabler’s 3000 Pictures, which has a deal with Sony, is looking to remake 1992 horror drama that starred Bridget Fonda and Jennifer Jason Leigh. The feature was directed by Barbet Schroeder and was based on John Lutz’s 1990 novel SWF Seeks Same. Lutz co-wrote the adaptation with Don Roos.

Released in 1992, Single White Female starred Fonda as a woman looking for a roommate to split the costs of her Upper West Side apartment. Her world is turned upside down when she realizes that her new tenant doesn’t have the best intentions at heart. From the looks of it, Ortega and Russell would take on the lead roles of the story.

Jenna Ortega and Taylor Russell are in talks to lead an upcoming reboot of iconic 1992 erotic thriller Single White Female, according to a report published by The Insneider on March 14.
