Los Angeles Rams fans received a promising update on quarterback Matthew Stafford ’s recovery as the 2025-26 NFL season approaches. Head coach Sean McVay shared optimistic remarks following Stafford’s recent workout, where the veteran threw over 60 passes without limitations.

Matthew Stafford has been dealing with a lower back injury throughout training camp, but the Los Angeles Rams QB should be good for the regular season. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported it’s been more of a cautious approach for the veteran signal caller.

Stafford has been inactive this summer after aggravating a disk in his back. Rams coach Sean McVay told reporters on Saturday that Stafford is recovering well. The star QB threw more than 60 passes without limitations. The team expects Stafford to resume practice next week.
