After suffering his third official NFL concussion, Tua Tagovailoa has been issued a stern warning by the Miami Dolphins, raising concerns about his future with the team due to his recurring injuries.

NFL post mortems are well and truly upon us! Although the Miami Dolphins season did not end how they would have wanted; given their 2-6 start to the year, the team actually rallied fairly impressively to get to the final week of the season and still be in playoff contention.

He needs to be available,’ Dolphins general manager Chris Grier said, adding that he’s ‘very confident’ in his franchise quarterback. ‘He needs to know how to protect himself.’

According to The Athletic's playoff prediction model, the Dolphins have a 19% chance of making the playoffs heading into Week 18. This places them behind the Denver Broncos, who have a 74% chance, but ahead of the Cincinnati Bengals, whose chances stand at just 6%.

After making back-to-back appearances in the NFL playoffs for the first time in more than two decades, the Miami Dolphins aren’t in this season’s Super Bowl tournament.

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is doubtful for Week 18 due to a hip injury he suffered earlier this month. Tagovailoa was also doubtful last week for a game against the Cleveland Browns and was eventually listed as inactive.
