A Lynnwood council member has withdrawn from her appointment after some of her social media posts came to light.

The Lynnwood City Council appointee at the center of an online controversy for her past online activity has now withdrawn her name from consideration for city council.The council unanimously voted for Jessica Roberts to fill the vacant Position 5 seat Monday after several rounds of voting and multiple executive sessions.

The Lynnwood City Council has lost an appointed member within the same week of her appointment after her sexually explicit social media account was revealed.
