Another week, another early exit for Emma Raducanu – and the inconsistency of her performances underlines the need for her to appoint a coach.

Emma Raducanu suffered a third straight defeat in the opening round of the Abu Dhabi Open. The 22-year-old was beaten 6-3 6-4 by former Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova to add to her losses to Iga Swiatek in the third round of the Australian Open and to Cristina Bucsa in Singapore last week.

But sadly for Raducanu - who battled a back injury at the start of 2025 - she didn't manage to take advantage of a favorable draw as her run in the Asian event lasted only match after world No. 101 Cristina Bucsa upset her 5-7 7-5 7-5.
