Eager to make the sport feel relevant again, promoters staged a series of fights in one of the most crowded places in America.

Something odd was sitting in the middle of the tourist hotspot known as Times Square, leaving pedestrians with questions on their minds and photos of a boxing ring and the structure around it in their camera rolls.

The road to a Ryan Garcia-Devin Haney rematch runs right through the heart of Times Square. When they fought last year, Garcia initially opposed bringing the match to New York, believing a bout between two California boxers belonged in the West.
