Flight records show a Beechcraft Bonanza left the Pitt Greenville Airport just after 7:45 a.m., moments before the crash was reported. The plane crash was in the area of N. Memorial Dr. and Belvoir Rd. Highway Patrol says the plane’s remains were found in the yard of Consolidated Pipe on N. Greene St.

Both the pilot and the passenger in a small plane that crashed near Greenville, North Carolina, on Friday morning have died, according to the state's highway patrol. The FAA said there were only two people aboard the plane — a Beechcraft Bonanza — at the time of the crash.
