First Steps is eyeing a $40 million-$50 million second weekend at the box office against The Bad Guys 2 and The Naked Gun.

The two films — along with Neon's gruesome horror-comedy 'Together' — are going up against holdovers 'Fantastic Four: First Steps' and 'Superman' at the early August box office.

Paramount's "The Naked Gun" reboot, one of the year's funniest movies, has made $1.6 million at the box office so far after Thursday previews. It’s on track to make between $15 million and $17 million,
