Nominations for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Film Awards are in, with Conclave and Emilia Pérez leading this year's nominees. Conclave, starring Ralph Fiennes, is up for 12 awards,

She lauded the list of nominations, particularly its variety, noting that six different genres were represented on the best film list. She also highlighted that 14 of the 24 nominations in the acting categories were first-timers, and that whoever wins the best actress award will be a first-time BAFTA winner.

Earlier this month, it was announced that the 2025 EE BAFTA Rising Star Award, the only award voted for by the public, would be contested between David Jonsson, Marisa Abela, Mikey Madison, Jharrel Jerome and Nabhaan Rizwan.
