Appleseed lived in the late 1700s until the 1800s and was known for devoting his life to helping trees bloom. The last known tree he planted is still alive and located in Nova in Ashland County.
LIMA — The Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park board commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 18 at the Park District office, 1682 Slabtown Road in Lima.
