A woman says she's bucking tradition by choosing a name other than her father-in-law's for her firstborn son — and now, her husband is upset.

"I do it sometimes back to him, and now that he's getting up there, it's pretty pricey,” Teddi joked about continuing with tradition and gifting her father the same dollar amount as his age.

"Blooding the royal children, a tradition in which a prince or princess's face is smeared with the blood of his or her first kill, whether it happens to be a stag or a fox," Quinn writes.
