A 25-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, man is in custody facing second-degree murder charges in connection to the Nov. 8 shooting death of Daniel Thurman.

Police were called to the 5600 block of East 69th Street around 6:30 p.m. where they found a man with a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to the hospital with critical injuries, but died several hours later, according to Sgt. Philip DiMartino, spokesperson with the Kansas City Police Department.
