NHL is announcing the first and second quarter-century teams for each franchise that's existed since 2000, as voted by a panel of media, retired players and executives specific to that club. These players are judged to have been the best for their team in the past 25 years as the NHL world honors their accomplishments since the beginning of the new millennium.

The best players from one of the NHL’s younger franchises over the past 25 years have been revealed. The league has begun rolling out its multi-phased celebration, honoring the best players for each of the 32 franchises,

Goalie: Belfour's stint with the Maple Leafs was impactful even though it lasted just three seasons (2002-03 to 2005-06). He had 17 shutouts, most of any Toronto goalie in the quarter century. He's also second in wins since 2000 with 93, trailing only Frederik Andersen (149), who played 98 more games.
