Another round of severe weather is expected Tuesday and one of the ways the public stays informed will go offline temporarily.The National Weather Service says the NOAA Weather Radio Transmitters will be down through May 21 for a mandatory system upgrade.
The National Hurricane Center said there are no tropical disturbances in the Atlantic basin and no tropical cyclone activity is expected during the next seven days, which includes the Memorial Day weekend. Forecasters are tracking a tropical wave in the central Atlantic. It's moving west at 11 mph.
