The Kansas City Chiefs added seven players through the 2025 draft and are filling out the 90-man offseason roster with undrafted free agents. Brett Veach was tasked with reloading the roster with the requisite talent to lift this team back to Super Bowl LX.

As he waits for the call -- and not a prank call, as he received on Friday -- there are some in the public who are shocked. Among them appears to be Kansas City Chiefs superstar QB Patrick Mahomes, who tweeted one word on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday night:

Sanders, who was ranked as the No. 23 overall prospect and No. 2 quarterback available on 2025 B/R NFL Draft Big Board, had been discussed in some early mock drafts as a potential top-three pick and a competitor with Ward as the top quarterback in the draft.
