Former Wisconsin basketball starting center Steven Crowl began his NBA Summer League run with the Utah Jazz on Sunday.

Riley Minix drained a buzzer-beating fadeaway to lift the San Antonio Spurs to a 93-91 overtime win over the Utah Jazz in the NBA 2K26 Summer League at Thomas and Mack Center on Monday evening.

After recovering from an ankle injury, Wisconsin Badgers second-round pick John Tonje made his NBA Summer League debut for the Utah Jazz with a strong shooting performance in an overtime loss.

The Warriors (1-1) were led by Gabe Madsen, who provided 22 points across 17 minutes off the bench. Joel Bartilotta, RotoWire Golden State defeats Utah 103-93. The Warriors move to 1-1 in 2K26 Summer League play while the Jazz fall to 0-2.

On Sunday night the Jazz fielded a summer league squad that did not feature a single drafted rookie. No Ace Bailey, no Walter Clayton Jr., no John Tonje. Not even RJ Luis Jr., the undrafted rookie out of St. John’s, played for the Jazz.

John Tonje made his Summer League debut for Utah and finished with 16 points and four three-pointers. The 24-year-old rookie shined at Wisconsin last season and could be an NBA-ready scoring option for the Jazz this year, though the amount of depth Utah has will make it difficult for him to earn minutes.
