Before training camp even started, New Orleans Saints head coach Kellen Moore said there'd be a quarterback competition. However, most fans assumed Spencer Rattler and Tyler Shough would be the only participants.

"It's always on point when he speaks, and people are going to listen," former Boise State coach Chris Petersen said about his onetime star quarterback.
