As world powers face multiple crises, the one set off by a terror attack in Kashmir is getting scant attention, and little help de-escalating between two nuclear-armed neighbors.

Pakistan called India's actions “irresponsible" and canceled visas for Indian nationals, suspended all trade with India and closed its airspace to Indian aircraft.

The two countries both claim Kashmir in full, but rule it in part. India has long accused Pakistan of helping Islamist separatists who have battled security forces in its part of the territory - accusations Islamabad denies.
