CLEVELAND (WJW) — The Cleveland Guardians are trading one of their All-Star pitchers, FOX 8 confirmed. With the MLB trade deadline looming Thursday at 6 p.m., the Cleveland professional baseball team has opted to trade the Cy Young Award-winning Shane Bieber to the Blue Jays for AA RHP prospect Khal Stephen.

Shane Bieber's career in Cleveland is over. The Guardians get a new starting pitcher from the Blue Jays in return.

The Guardians opted to retain Steven Kwan despite multiple teams showing interest, while sending former Cy Young winner Shane Bieber to Toronto.
