Shemar Stewart is refusing to practice until the Bengals remove uncharacteristic language from his rookie contract, and says his teammates support this decision.

Trey Hendrickson isn't the only notable Cincinnati Bengals player missing from practices at the team's mandatory minicamp. First-round pick and fellow pass rusher Shemar Stewart said on Tuesday that he will not practice until his contract situation is settled.

“Whatever the Bengals are doing with a first-round draft pick in an era where the rookie wage scale exists is unprofessional. Cincinnati and Shemar Stewart are at odds over interpretation of language in the contract that could affect Stewart's guaranteed money in his rookie deal, causing the first-round pick to hold out from minicamp.”
