Annabel Sutherland and Travis Head are named Australia's top cricketers at an awards night missing the country's best men's cricket players.

Travis Head became the first South Australian to win the Allan Border Medal on Monday night. But it also marked the first time in its 25-year history that the winner of the prestigious medal wasn't at the Australian Cricket Awards in person to receive it from Border.

Star batter Travis Head was named the winner of the prestigious Allan Border Medal for the top Australian men's cricketer, while young all-rounder Annabel Sutherland was awarded the Belinda Clark Medal at the Australian Cricket Awards held here on Monday.

Travis Head, who had an outstanding year across all three formats with 1,427 runs since the start of the polling period, received 208 votes to secure the top honour.

Australian star batter Travis Head was named Cricket Australia Men’s Player of the Year on February 3, winning his first Allan Border Medal for his exceptional performances across all formats in 2024.

Travis Head and Annabel Sutherland were voted Australia’s cricketers of the year, both winning the awards for the first time in a dominant year for the national teams.
