Mystery, expectations surround the Tar Heels as Bill Belichick readies to coach a college football team in competition for the first time.

Headlined by Bill Belichick at North Carolina, the ACC has three ex-NFL head coaches leading its football programs this fall.

Belichick avoided the rows of radio reporters in the hotel lobby and spent much of the morning in a hallway outside the green room for players and coaches, down the hall from private rooms for interviews with ESPN.com, SiriusXM and the ACC Digital Network.
